Which words count?
Rackety checks every play against a word list built into the app: about 168,000 public-domain words, minus slurs. The Family dictionary also leaves out crude words.
Read the word policyXI, JO and QAT are good plays. The list predates a few modern favorites, so QI and ZA aren't in it.
Is Rackety really free?
Yes. There are no ads, no paid boosts and no purchases. Your best move is yours to find.
Is this the word game I already know?
Rackety is its own game, with its own board pattern, tile values and counts, a 102-tile bag and a 40-point bonus for using every tile. If you've played crossword tile games before, you'll feel at home in a turn or two.
Can I play friends online?
Not yet. This version has games against the bot and pass-and-play on one device. Playing friends online and nearby is on the way.
Why isn't QI a word?
Rackety uses ENABLE, a public-domain word list that predates a few modern two-letter favorites. It has XI, JO and QAT, but not QI or ZA.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your games and settings stay on your device.
One more word?
Rackety is coming soon to iPhone and iPad: free, with no ads and no purchases.
